I would like to clarify that the story circulating on social media regarding the inspiration of Crayon Shin-chan series is just a false rumor. It is  not  true. I've been a big fan of the series ever since I first saw it on TV. I have seen all movies, read all mangas and seen almost all episodes in the original version. The founder and owner of the store was Shinnosuke Nikaidō.
